Today we’re starting off a new series, Wattpad Essentials with the Wattpad phenomenon A Proscriptive Relationship and the rest of the books by author Jordan Lynde (XxSkater2Girl16xX) including A Proscriptive Relationship’s sequel, A Surreptitious Relationship.

Let’s get a little background before we get more into her stories. Author Jordan Lynde has over 94,000 fans/followers on Wattpad and is currently in college as a freshman.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, here’s the summary for A Proscriptive Relationship.

Holly’s new, young teacher has a dark past, and a dangerous future. She soon finds herself charmed by his ways, and gets thrown into the chaos. Who knew having an ex-gangster for a teacher could be so troublesome? As Holly and Mr. Heywood grow closer, more questions about his past come upon Holly, as does danger. What is Mr. Heywood keeping from Holly? And why is it so bad? But most importantly, if she falls for him, could their relationship survive? After all… it would be a proscriptive relationship.

So, that itself is appealing, and paired with the cover, I think it lured readers in easily.

Now, A Proscriptive Relationship is the most popular book on Wattpad that I’ve seen personally, and one of the most popular books on the site.

The plot-line is a definite yes and you can’t help but love the characters that are in this book. And don’t even get me started about the writing; it’s exquisite.

Next up by Jordan Lynde is the sequel, A Surreptitious Relationship.

Chris and Holly’s relationship is finally perfect. With no gangs to harass them, the only thing they have to worry about it keeping their relationship a secret from the student body and faculity at school. Simple enough. However with the appearance of two new students, new troubles arise. The new girl isn’t who she seems, but no one will believe Holly, and the new boy seems to enjoy causing Holly problems. Meanwhile Chris is finding it harder and harder to stay away from Holly in school. Keeping their relationship a secret suddenly becomes ten times harder. And to top it all off, Jeremy has a big surprise for every one.

As you can see, a lot has happened in in A Proscriptive Relationship for Holly and Chris to get where they are, and there’s still way, way more to go!

A Surreptitious Relationship is the exeption to Jordan’s “no sequel” rule, and I’m sure I speak for a lot of people when I say I’m glad it is.

Now, together, the series has over 31 million reads on Wattpad. Obviously, that’s quite a lot, and in a Podcast with Wattpad, Jordan revealed that she meets fans in her everyday life. In fact, one of her best friends started as just a fan!

Next up, and yes, this should shock you, is An Endless Serenade, which is the spin-off novel of Holly and Chris’ life together. It follows Allie, Holly and Chris’ daughter, as she goes to music school, living with a family friend who’s name is Paul. I can’t give much away, but here is the short official summary of An Endless Serenade.
